The end of World War I saw Congress authorize 1,020 men for Marine Corps aviation and the establishment of permanent air stations at Quantico, Parris Island and San Diego. "

It was not until 3 May 1925 that the Marine Corps officially appeared in the Navy's Aeronautical Organization when Rear Admiral William A. Moffett, then Chief of the Navy's Bureau of Aeronautics, issued a directive officially authorizing three fighting squadrons.

The turning point for the long-term survival of Marine Air " On 7 December 1941, the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Marine Corps air units consisted of 13 flying squadrons and 230 aircraft.

World War II would see the Marine Corps' air arm expand rapidly and extensively. Because of the way the Pacific War unfolded, Marine Aviation was not able to achieve its 1939 mission of supporting the Fleet Marine Force at first. For the first two years of the war, the air arm spent most of its time protecting the fleet and land-based installations from attacks by enemy ships and aircraft.

This began to change after the Battle of Tarawa as the air support for ground troops flown by Navy pilots left much to be desired. After the battle, General Holland Smith recommended, "Marine aviators, thoroughly schooled in the principles of direct air support," should do the job.

During the course of the war, Marine Aviators were credited with shooting down 2,355 Japanese aircraft while losing 573 of their own aircraft in combat, they had 120 aces and earned 11 Medals of Honor. Also during this time, the Secretary of Defense for then President Harry S. Truman, Louis A. Johnson, attempted to eliminate Marine Corps aviation by transferring its air assets to other services, and even proposed to progressively eliminate the Marine Corps altogether in a series of budget cutbacks and decommissioning of forces

Good bedside organizer
Color: Black, Color: Black
Overall, I’m happy with the quality and the value of this organizer. It’s a nice leather look, and big enough to hold most of the stuff you need to keep next your bed at night. It organizes my glasses, my phone, my earbuds, and my keys when I go to bed so everything‘s in the same place. It functions is pretty decent as a wireless phone charger too. It’s not a fast charge charger, but it’s still nice to be able to just drop your phone onto there and be able to charge it overnight. Overall, I think it’s a pretty good organizer for the cost, and I’m still using it three months later.

A great bedside or desk organizer for anyone who likes a tidy space with modern convenience
Color: Black
First impression: this bedside organizer feels classy right out of the box. The faux leather has a clean, premium look, and everything is laid out thoughtfully—no wasted space. Dropping my phone on the wireless charging pad worked instantly, and I liked that there’s also room for earbuds, wallet, watch, keys, and jewelry all in one place. Daily use is where it really shines. It keeps your nightstand or desk clutter-free, and having wireless charging built in is super convenient—just set your phone down and you’re done. The valet tray sections are perfectly sized for everyday carry items, and it doubles nicely as a desk organizer during the day. Setup is simple: plug it in, place your essentials, and that’s it. Performance-wise, charging is reliable and consistent for both phone and earbuds, and the tray feels sturdy enough to handle daily use. Compared to basic catch-all trays, this adds real functionality with charging while still looking sharp. Value is solid since you’re getting storage plus wireless charging in one compact organizer, making it a practical gift or personal upgrade. Pros: sleek faux leather design, built-in wireless charging, holds phone/earbuds/watch/keys neatly, reduces clutter, easy setup. Cons: charging only works with compatible wireless devices, faux leather (not real leather). Overall, this is a great bedside or desk organizer for anyone who likes a tidy space with modern convenience—ideal as a gift for men or anyone who wants their daily essentials and charging in one clean setup.

Great addition to a bedside table
Color: Black, Color: Black
I love this item. We decided to use it for our guest area and I've even had a few people ask me where they can buy one. It's got a few little dividers for organizing out money, wallet, watch, and a large space that accommodates virtually any cell phone. The wireless charger is fantastic because no matter whether a person has Android or iphone, they're able to charge their phone in the event they forgot a charger. It looks really sleek/elegant, good quality, good price, and just sits on the end table. Charging speed is actually pretty decent, with it still being able to increase at a decent speed and charge while it's still playing audio throughout the night like a sleep machine. All in all really happy with it and would recommend to anyone.
